Every time I through out my back or have an injury John helps heal my body. He is very knowledgable about sports injuries and how to treat them, not just in the office but he gives your stretches and a treatment plan following the massage. He was recommended to me by a friend that competes in Iron Man races and Marathons when I injured my back. Within 2 massages I was up and running again. Thank you John for your awesome massages and I would without reservation recommend you to anyone! as being the best Massage Therapist that I have ever been to hands down!!

I was extremely pleased with my massage from John. He answered my phone call promptly (I was not sent to a machine), and got me in right away as I was having some discomfort.
As I travel around to USA for a living I have trouble areas that act up when I am on a long trip. I have been to many masseurs around the country and he is the real deal. John alleviated a good portion of the pain which allowed me to get back into the gym.

Sports Massage & Deep Tissue Massage
I first visited John for massage about 12 years ago to help with carpel tunnel / tendonitis issues. He was always able to accommodate my crazy, out-of-town work schedule. John has always been very knowledgeable and informative always knowing exactly what kind of massage I needed at any given time. He has always shown great awareness of pressure points and musculature both when working on me as well as in providing follow-up care between sessions.
At the time, I was also in year seven of infertility treatments, due, in part, to massive scar tissue damage. When I shared this information with John, he took the time to talk with me about the benefits of myofascial release and got right to work on the scar tissue. I was skeptical, but gave him the go-ahead -- after two failed IVF's, I was desperate to try anything! This turned out to be an extremely effective treatment. After extensive work using this technique to break up scar tissue as well as other therapeutic forms of massage for relaxation and circulation, I had an extreme increase in the number of eggs produced. This allowed for successful third AND fourth rounds of IVF. When speaking with my fertility specialist, he confirmed that we'd done nothing different medically speaking prior to the third egg retrieval. When I shared this news with John, he indicated that he'd also been praying for me as he worked. What a powerful experience!
Since then, I've seen John a number of times for anything from pain in my legs to lower back to carpel tunnel and tendonitis flare-ups. I have always found great relief after a round of massage with John. I encourage everyone to give it a try - at least once. I promise, you'll be hooked! John is very open to feedback during and after your massage, so don't hesitate to share your questions and concerns with John. He hears you and will make you feel as comfortable as possible.

Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue Massage, Therapeutic Massage
I have been so stressed lately with work, family and relationships and just needed to relax. I called John and he took the time to explain the types of massage that would meet my needs, so we made the appointment for later that day.
John's office is very warm and relaxing the energy is very nurturing, I felt very comfortable as soon as I walked into the room. He had me fill out a client information form and then we further discussed my needs, goals and concerns for my session.
When I have had massages in the past the therapist has worked too hard and I have been very sore after receiving a massage. John, listened to me and adjusted the strokes to what I needed throughout the session, at the end of the hour I was so relaxed and I felt wonderful.
After the massage we further discussed my goals and agreed that I would continue to receive regular treatments for the next three to six weeks and re-evaluate my progress after each session. I would highly recommend John to anyone whether its you first massage or your fiftieth.

I was born and raised in Alaska and came to Minnesota for the first time to visit family. In Alaska I work as a commerical fisherman (salmon) a quite physically demanding job to say the least. I try to receive massage treatments as often as possible wherever we happen to harbor the boat in ports all across the coast of Alaska, when time allows.
I was a hurting unit when I arrived here fresh off the ocean without stepping foot on land from a 3 plus week fishing venture. I looked through the local phone book to locate a massage therapist in the area, hoping to find at least a bit of relief.
I came across an advertisement for John Haugmo, and made an appointment. In my experience, some, therapists do better work than others so I didn't know what to expect from my treatment with John.
Upon leaving my appointment I can honestly say I have never received as much relief from a massage treatment as I did that day. He found all of the right spots and was extremely thorough in his work. He even spent an extra twenty minutes (because he had the time) on a particularly painful area in my shoulder to ensure I would leave his office satisfied, No extra charge! Satisfied doesn't nearly describe how I felt after leaving the massage session (Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release & Sports Massage) My muscles have not been as loose or unbound from pain for as long as I can remember.
I truly enjoyed my visit to the state of Minnesota. I will definitely come back again , if only to receive another massage treatment from John Haugmo. I suppose I should fit in a visit to the family again as well. I would recommend John's services to anyone.

Out of townerI was in the area vacationing and having issues with my back and neck from working a 60 hour/week desk job. I opted for a deep tissue massage and I feel great. I had never met John before but the fact that he was associated with the YMCA gave me confidence. He was very professional and able to target the areas I had struggled with. The Absolute Best Massage Therapist I have ever Gone to!!We live about 45 minutes away from Fergus so it has been a long time between massages and I forgot just how amazing John's massages really are!!
